In-house
presentation enhances the motors and drives educational experience
as SMMA staff works with engineering managers, or other professionals
within the company, to customize course content based on the knowledge
and experience level of the audience. Costs for in-house, customized
SMMA Motor & Motion College courses are established according to
the number of course days and instructor travel expenses. The savings
of an in-house course, compared to sending employees to an out-of-town
site, are especially beneficial when five or more employees attend.
SMMA handles administrative tasks including preparation and shipping
of course manuals. The sponsoring company is responsible for meeting
room arrangements and refreshment breaks.
Begun
in 1993, the SMMA Motor & Motion College was created to provide
motor design and drives education for the member companies of SMMA
and the electric motion industry. Instructors are experts in their
field, have excellent credentials and a longtime relationship with
the SMMA Motor & Motion College.
SMMA
- The Motor & Motion Association is a trade association of 180 member
companies representing motor and motion control manufacturers, suppliers,
users and consultants. It serves as the principal voice of the electric
motors and drives industry and provides a forum to develop, collect
and disseminate technical and management knowledge.
